Bandipora, 07 Apr (KNO): The authorities in district Bandipora on Tuesday declared two more villages as red zones to prevent spread of Covid-19 after two more positive cases were reported from these villages. According to wire service-Kashmir News Observer (KNO), deputy commissioner Bandipora, Shahbaz Ahmad Mirza, who is also the chairperson District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA), declared two more villages as red zones in Hajin Tehsil. The villages include Gund-Jahengeer and Naidkhai of Hajin tehsil. DC Bandipora on Tuesday evening issued the order banning inward and outward movement of public in these villages as a precautionary measure to prevent the spread of Covid-19 in the area. “However, for any Medical Emergency, individuals can contact 24×7 Control Room on 01957-225024/225323," reads the order issued by him. Earlier, 10 villages were declared as red zones which include Parray Mohalla, Chandergair, Batagund, SK Bala, Hakbara and Madwan of Hajin tehsil and Gund-Qaiser, Kunan, Gund-Dachina and Pethkoot of Bandipora tehsil to prevent the spread of Covid-19 in these villages. After reports of two new Covid positive cases from Hajin tehsil on Tuesday, the total number of cases in the district has gone up to 20 now—(KNO)
